Wicked Opera House has proven to be so popular that in addition to the production at the George Gershwin Theatre on Broadway it is touring all over the nation. Wicked Opera House began previews on Broadway Oct. 8, 2003, after a summer tryout at San Francisco's Curran Theatre. Wicked Opera House tells the myriad story of the witches of Oz. The Wicked Opera House Witch of the East is also responsible for the creation of the Tin Woodsman and the Tin Soldier. Wicked Opera House is also the name of one of Ice Cube's songs. Wicked Opera House co-producer David Stone told the Associated Press that the show, which plays the 1,800-seat Gershwin Theatre, also has a $26 million advance.
